How to keep your home safe fire accidents

People take a lot of efforts in making their home look the best. The home is said to be one place where people feel safer, and it's important for you and your family to take care of your home and keep it away from external threats like Fire. There are many reasons why your home can catch fire.
It is extremely important to get your home checked from an expert if there is complete Fireproofing that has been done in the home. Also, it is very important to train yourself and your family how to deal if there is any fire breakout. It is important for your family and you not to panic and create more problem if something like this happens. There are some basic and easy measures that should be taken to prevent any fire issues.
Basic things that should be done without even reminders is checking the gas pipes and the electricity circuit and connection area.
While in the kitchen, do not leave the stove and grills not attended. If something important comes up like, somebody at the door or phone call or something else, switch off the stove finish the work and come back and start it again. It is not right to leave the stove on when you are not around. Also keep the things that can burn easily away from the stove. Things like clothes, inflammable articles, matchbox, curtains and others. Always wear clothes with proper sleeves while cooking or just fold the sleeves as loose clothes can catch fire faster. Try to keep the grills away at least 10 feet away from any other object. Always switch the main gas knob off once done using.
Heaters and chimney are the next two things that can cause a fire, the most important thing is that if its electrical it should have a Fire Coating on its wires. Keep anything that can catch fire away from them. Keep the matches and lighters away from people who don't know how to use them especially kids. Also make sure that the chimney and the heater are inspected at least once a year. Because  during winters, these things can be harmful.
Smoking could be one of the reasons why a house can catch fire. Try not smoking inside the house also  use ashtrays and most importantly, don't let the bud of the cigarette lit if you are throwing it away. Either crush it or put it down the running water. The same could be done with the matchstick, and one should put it under the running water.

Keep flammable articles and candles in proper storage. It is important to have a proper candle also stand  the flammable articles should be handled by people with experience and knowledge. Try and have a fire extinguisher at home. Also train your pets not to go near electrical extensions or plugs and open wire. Keep your kids away from anything dangerous.
