Fire: Does miracles if inside, ruins miracles if outside

Fire Protection refers to precautions that are taken to prevent or reduce the likelihood of a fire that may result in death, injury, or property damage, alert those in a structure to the presence of an uncontrolled fire in the event one occurs, better enable those threatened by fire to survive in and evacuate from affected areas, or to reduce the damage caused by a fire. Fire safety measures include those that are planned during the construction of a building or implemented in structures that are already standing, and those that are taught to occupants of the building.
Threats to fire safety are referred to as fire hazards. A fire hazard may include a situation that increases the likelihood a fire may start or may impede escape in the event a fire occurs.
Cable Fire protection is often a component of building safety. Those who inspect buildings for violations of the Fire Code and go into schools to educate children on Fire Safety topics are fire department members known as fire prevention officers. The Chief Fire Prevention Officer or Chief of Fire Prevention will normally train newcomers to the Fire Prevention Division and may also conduct inspections or make presentations.
There are many companies that manufacture Fire protection products in Canada. The most reliable among them include 3M and TYCO. Both of these companies are established in U.S.A also.
3M is proud to be the industry leader in firestopping. It’s Dedication to stringent testing and code developments help make buildings safer today than they were even 10 years ago. And when that dedication is backed by a brand as powerful as 3M, you get what you would expect – proven reliability and outstanding service.
The construction industry is increasingly moving toward easy-to-use firestop solutions. That’s why 3M, in its leadership role, provides cutting-edge and fully integrated systems. These systems are designed to help you efficiently build safer buildings that protect lives and property.
The majority of 3M’s firestopping innovations are tested on-site in the company’s own UL, ULC and Intertek certified fire-test centre. By testing these systems in job-specific conditions, we help you with high-quality, effective fire stopping solutions. Some of their products include Fire Barrier Duct Wrap 615,Ineram™ Endothermic Mat For Commercial Buildings, Fire Barrier Self-Locking Pillows, Fire Barrier Putty Sleeve Kits, Fire Stop Risk Management and Facility Management Programs, Fire Protection Systems - Full Line Brochure

Another important fire protection method is fireproofing. Fireproofing, a passive fire protection measure, refers to the act of making materials or structures more resistant to fire, or to those materials themselves, or the act of applying such materials. Applying a certification listed fireproofing system to certain structures allows these to have a fire-resistance rating. The term "fireproofing" is a trade term, which is also reflected in common North American construction specifications, which does not necessarily mean that an item cannot ever burn or be rendered inoperable as a result of fire exposure. It relates to measured performance under specific conditions of testing and evaluation. Fireproofing does not allow treated items to be entirely unaffected by any fire, as conventional materials are not immune to the effects of fire at a sufficient intensity and/or duration.
